7 Best Apps for Business Owners

I wanted to share the seven applications I use daily to execute my work. As a business owner, I use several applications every day to manage our clients and customers and work remotely with my team. Since we double as a media outlet and public relations boutique, we use quite a few tools. Some of them you may need, some of them you may not, but below you will find the apps, that my team and I use on a daily basis. 

G-Suite- G-Suite is the business of Google. We use it for our emails, our storage drive for file saving and sharing. We also use the Google Docs for most of our documents and Google Sheets for our spreadsheets.

Wordpress- Wordpress is a content management system that hosts the SwagHerOnline platform where our website is located. It is here that we upload and publish our content for the website. I have used Wordpress for over ten years. They are my favorite CMS out of the ones that I have tried in the past. 

Canva- Canva is a design tool. They have a free version you can use to get started but I love the pro version which gives you access to more tools like the background remover and resizing of projects. In spite of how many snub Canva use for business, I love it. It’s affordable and easy to use.

Grammarly- Grammarly is a writing assistant that helps writers edit and proofread their work. I think every writer should be using the the upgraded version of Grammarly. I purchase my subscription quarterly which gives a little discount for the multiple months. I know that I am a strong writer, but Grammarly helps to make me a better writer. 

Loom- Loom is a video recording app that allows you to screen-record on your devices. It’s really good for communicating how-to’s to your team. You can record your screen while also recording yourself presenting the presentation to your audience. I love to use then when assigning tasks because I can just demonstrate the steps of what needs to be done instead of trying to write it all out.  Use my referral code here to sign up. 

Keap- Keap which was formerly known as InfusionSoft is a CRM, Marketing, & Automation system. You can send emails, create landing pages, sale products, schedule appointments, and send mass text messages depending on the plan that you have. When I say it has a been a game changer for me, it really has because the automation allows me time to do other things. I don’t have to worry about sending digital products or next steps because Keap has me covered. You can use my referral code here to sign up. 

WhatsApp- WhatsApp is multiplatform messaging app that lets you make video and voice calls, send text messages, and more. Since my team and I work remotely, we use it to communicate in real time. I created chats for each of the SwagHer Magazine teams and use them for making announcements. I have a main chat that all team members are in for major announcements. 

Bonus: (These are two apps that I use quite often but not every day due to having a team)

Publer- Publer is a social media scheduling platform that allows you to schedule or immediately share your social media posts. We have a social media manager but because we have so much content to get out the online editor and I also sometimes publish and schedule posts too. Publer has different plans which allow for more social media accounts and other upgraded options. We have the Professional plan which is the second plan from the highest.

Streamyard- Streamyard is a professional live streaming and recording studio in your browser. You can stream and go live to the different, multiple platforms of your choice. It also allows you to customize your studio and they are still adding new capabilities.
